NOTICE OF ZONING AMENDMENT REQUEST

August 28, 2023

RE: Zoning Amendment Request received by the township on Aug. 15, 2023 for the property 51-09-005-100-00

This notice is to inform you that on September 13, 2023 at 6:30 pm the township planning commission will hold a public hearing at their regularly scheduled meeting held at 9991 Marilla Rd. Copemish MI 49625 regarding this request. 

This is a request to rezone a 254.19 acre parcel from Resource Preservation-RP1 requiring 40 acres minimum for a residence to Rural Residential-RR1 requiring 10 acres minimum for a residence. This property is bordered by two paved county-maintained roads, Yates Rd. and 13 Mile Rd. 

Written comments may be submitted to the clerk: in person at the township hall, by mail to 9991 Marilla Rd. Copemish MI 49625, or by email to mcudney@marillatownshipmi.gov until 5 pm on Sept 13.
