Welcome! Marilla Township was founded in 1870 and our natural beauty has always been our greatest asset. Long before our township was formed, the first residents or the area were Native Americans from the Little River Band of the Ottowa Indians. Our records indicate that members of the tribe often summered in this area. Since 1870, pioneers to this area have lumbered, farmed, and raised families in our community. Today Marilla Township remains a wonderful and beautiful place of hills, rivers, forests and rich with trails to explore, mushrooms and berries to pick, and farms stands.
